Дорогие читатели!

В этой книге я стремилась создать такой материал, который будет интересным, полезным и доступным для школьников, только начинающих свой путь в изучении английского языка. Моя цель – предоставить читателю не только теоретические знания, но и практические навыки, которые помогут уверенно использовать английский в реальной жизни.

Каждая глава в этой книге была написана с учётом особенностей восприятия учащихся 5—6 классов. Тексты построены вокруг простых, но увлекательных сюжетов, которые направлены на расширение словарного запаса, понимание базовых грамматических конструкций и освоение полезных фраз, часто используемых в повседневной речи. Такие подходы позволяют не только углубить языковые знания, но и заинтересовать учащихся в продолжении их изучения.

The First Day of School (Первый день в школе)

История:

It was the first day of school, and Mia was feeling both excited and nervous. She had a new schoolbag, new shoes, and a brand-new notebook. She had been looking forward to this day all summer, but now that it was here, she wasn’t sure what to expect.

Mia woke up early, ate a quick breakfast, and put on her uniform. Her mom drove her to school, and as they arrived, Mia saw her friends from last year. They were talking and laughing. Mia smiled, but she felt a little shy. «Hi, Mia!» her friend Sarah waved. «Are you ready for school?»

Mia nodded and walked with Sarah to the classroom. The teacher, Mrs. Brown, was already there, standing in front of the class. She smiled and said, «Welcome, everyone! I’m so happy to see you all today. My name is Mrs. Brown, and I’ll be your teacher this year.»

История:

The girls started talking, and Lily quickly realized that they had a lot in common. They all liked reading books, playing games, and drawing. They talked about their favorite books and shared funny stories. Lily was happy to have found some new friends so quickly.

By the end of the day, Lily felt much better. She had made three new friends: Emma, Sarah, and Mia. «I’m so glad I came to school today,» Lily thought. «I can’t wait to see my new friends tomorrow!»

История:

After seeing the monkeys, they went to the giraffes. The giraffes were eating leaves from tall trees. «Look how tall they are!» said Lily. Max tried to stand on his tiptoes to be as tall as the giraffes. «I think the giraffes are the tallest animals here,» said Lily.

Before leaving, Lily and Max went to the gift shop. They each picked a soft stuffed animal to remember the trip. Lily chose a cute panda, and Max picked a lion. «This was the best day ever!» said Max. Lily smiled and agreed, «I can’t wait to come back to the zoo again!»
