The Adventure in the Forest (Приключение в лесу)

One sunny morning, Lily and her brother Jack decided to go on an adventure in the forest near their house. «Let’s explore the forest today!» said Lily, grabbing her backpack. «I’m excited!»

Jack smiled and said, «Me too! I’ve never been into the forest like this before.» They packed some snacks and a map to make sure they didn’t get lost.

As they walked through the trees, they could hear the birds singing and the wind rustling in the leaves. «It’s so peaceful here,» Lily said, looking around. «It’s like a magic forest.»

They walked deeper into the forest, following the trail on the map. Suddenly, they saw a small rabbit hopping by. «Look, a rabbit!» Jack whispered. The rabbit stopped, looked at them for a moment, and then disappeared into the bushes.

«That was so cool!» said Lily, smiling.

A little further down the path, they came to a small stream. The water was crystal clear, and they could see fish swimming. «Let’s cross the stream,» Jack said. «We can jump on the rocks.»

Lily carefully stepped on the rocks, trying not to fall. «This is fun!» she said, jumping to the other side. But when Jack tried, he slipped and fell into the water with a big splash!

Lily laughed. «You got wet, Jack!»

Jack stood up, laughing too. «I guess I wasn’t careful enough!»

After crossing the stream, they continued their walk and found a big tree with a hollow in the middle. «This tree looks like it has a secret,» said Lily. «Let’s see if we can find something inside!»

They carefully looked inside the hollow tree and found a small, shiny stone. «Wow, look at this!» said Jack, holding it up. «This must be a magic stone!»

Lily smiled. «Maybe it’s a treasure from the forest!»

As the sun started to set, they decided to head back home. «That was the best adventure ever!» said Lily. «I can’t wait to explore more tomorrow!»

«Me neither,» Jack said, smiling. «The forest is full of surprises!»

A Rainy Day (Дождливый день)

It was a rainy Saturday morning, and Lily and her little brother Tom were looking out of the window. «It’s so wet outside,» said Lily, frowning. «We can’t go to the park today.»

Tom sighed. «I wanted to play outside,» he said, disappointed.

Their mom smiled and said, «It’s okay! We can have fun indoors today.»

While the cookies were baking, Lily decided to draw a picture. She took out her colored pencils and started drawing a big rainbow. «I’ll draw a rainbow to make the day brighter,» she said, smiling.

After they finished baking, they sat down with warm cookies and a cup of milk. «These cookies are the best ever!» said Lily, taking a big bite.

Tom smiled, holding his cookie. «I’m glad we stayed inside today!»

Later, they played board games together. They played Monopoly and had so much fun. «This is so much better than going to the park!» said Lily.

As the rain stopped and the sun began to peek through the clouds, Lily said, «Even though it rained, I had the best day ever!»

The Lost Kitten (Потерявшийся котенок)

One sunny afternoon, Lucy and her little brother Max were playing outside when they heard a soft «meow.» They looked around, but they couldn’t see where the sound came from.

«Did you hear that?» Lucy asked Max.

«Yes, I think it came from behind the bush,» said Max, pointing to a small bush near the fence.

They slowly walked over and looked behind the bush. To their surprise, there was a tiny kitten, sitting all alone. The kitten had soft grey fur and big, sad eyes.

«Oh no! It’s a lost kitten!» Lucy said, crouching down to the kitten. «Where’s your mommy, little one?»

The kitten meowed softly and rubbed against Lucy’s hand. «I think it’s hungry and scared,» Lucy said.

«We can’t just leave it here,» Max said. «Let’s take it inside and make sure it’s okay.»

The children carefully picked up the kitten and brought it into the house. They gave it some food and water. The kitten ate the food quickly and drank all the water. «I think the kitten is happy now,» said Max, smiling.

Lucy looked around the house. «Maybe we can find the kitten’s owner. We can put up some signs in the neighborhood.»

They made a sign that said, «Lost Kitten! If you are the owner, please call us.» Lucy wrote her phone number on the sign, and they went outside to hang it on the neighborhood bulletin board.

The next day, they got a call. «Hello, is this Lucy?» a lady asked. «I think you have found my kitten!»

Lucy was so happy. «We’ve been taking care of her! We’re so glad you called.»

A few minutes later, a woman came to their house. She was so happy to see her kitten again. «Thank you so much for finding her and taking care of her!» she said.

The kitten meowed and ran to the woman, rubbing against her legs. «I’m so glad you’re home!» the woman said.

Lucy and Max smiled. «We’re happy to help,» said Max. «We love animals!»
