The Lost Toy (Потерянная игрушка)

Sophie had a little teddy bear named Benny. Benny was her favorite toy. She took him everywhere – to the park, to school, and even to bed. Sophie loved Benny because he made her feel safe and happy.

One sunny afternoon, Sophie went to the park with her mom. She played on the swings, climbed on the jungle gym, and ran around with her friends. After a few hours, it was time to go home. Sophie looked around for Benny. «Where’s Benny?» she asked.

Her mom smiled and said, «He’s probably in your bag.» But Benny wasn’t in the bag. Sophie looked under the bench, behind the swings, and in the sandbox. Benny was nowhere to be found.

Sophie felt very sad. «I can’t find Benny!» she said. «Where could he be?»

Her mom said, «Don’t worry. Let’s ask the park workers for help.» Sophie and her mom went to the park office. The workers there were kind and said they would help Sophie find Benny. They asked everyone at the park, but nobody had seen the teddy bear.

Sophie was worried, but she didn’t give up. She asked the children who were playing nearby. «Have you seen a teddy bear?» she asked. One little boy smiled and said, «I saw a bear near the big tree!»

Sophie ran as fast as she could to the tree. And there, lying on the grass, was Benny! Sophie was so happy to find him. She hugged Benny tightly and said, «I’m so glad I found you!»

Her mom smiled and said, «See, I told you we would find him.» Sophie promised to take better care of Benny from now on.

A Visit to the Zoo (Посещение зоопарка)

One sunny morning, Emily and her little brother Max went to the zoo with their parents. «I can’t wait to see the animals!» said Emily. «Me too!» said Max, jumping up and down.

When they arrived at the zoo, they went straight to the lion’s enclosure. «Look at the lion!» said Emily. «He looks so strong and big!» Max was a little scared but excited. «Is he dangerous?» he asked.

«No,» said their dad. «The lion is in a big cage, so he is safe. But it’s good to keep a distance.»

Next, they visited the monkeys. The monkeys were jumping from tree to tree, swinging and making funny noises. «Look at that one!» said Max, laughing. «He’s hanging upside down!»

They walked to the elephant area. «Elephants are huge!» said Emily. «They are the biggest land animals.» Max looked up at the tall elephant and said, «I want to be as big as an elephant when I grow up!»

They also saw giraffes, zebras, and kangaroos. The giraffes were eating leaves from tall trees, and the zebras were running around the grass. «Wow, look at their black and white stripes!» said Emily.

Before they left, they went to the aquarium section. They saw colorful fish swimming in the water. «The fish are so pretty!» said Max. «Can we take one home?»

«No,» said their mom, laughing. «We can’t take the fish home, but we can always come back to the zoo to visit them.»

At the end of the day, Emily and Max were tired but very happy. «This was the best day ever!» said Emily. «I love the zoo!» said Max.

The Big Birthday Party (Большой день рождения)

It was Lily’s birthday, and she was very excited. She had invited all of her friends to her party. «I can’t wait for everyone to arrive!» she said. Her mom was busy preparing the cake, and her dad was setting up decorations.

When the guests started to arrive, Lily greeted them at the door. «Hi, Emma! Hi, Jack! I’m so happy you’re here!» she said. The children ran inside and looked at the colorful balloons, the big birthday cake, and the table full of snacks. Everyone was so excited.

«Wow, look at all the presents!» said Jack. «These are for you, Lily!» Lily smiled and said, «Thank you, everyone!»

They played games like musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, and a treasure hunt. «Let’s play musical chairs!» said Lily. The children ran around, trying to find a chair when the music stopped. It was so much fun!

After playing games, it was time for cake. «Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!» everyone sang. Lily blew out the candles on the cake and made a wish. «I wish for lots of fun and friends!» she thought.

Then, it was time to open the presents. Lily opened the first gift. «Wow! A new doll!» she said. Then she opened another one. «A puzzle! I love puzzles!» Everyone clapped and cheered. «This is the best birthday ever!» Lily said, smiling.

At the end of the party, Lily thanked her friends. «Thank you for coming to my party! I had so much fun!» she said. The children said goodbye, and Lily went to bed, still smiling.

A Day at the Beach (День на пляже)

One bright, sunny day, Max and his sister Mia went to the beach with their parents. «Look at the blue sky!» said Max. «It’s perfect for a day at the beach!» Mia smiled and said, «I can’t wait to build a sandcastle!»

Later, they took a break and had a picnic. «Yum! I love sandwiches and fruit,» said Mia. «This is so much fun!» Max agreed, «I love the beach!»

In the afternoon, they went to look for seashells. «Look, I found a beautiful shell!» said Mia. «It’s so shiny!» Max found a big, colorful rock. «This will be my treasure!» he said.

As the sun started to set, the family packed up their things and headed home. «What a perfect day at the beach!» said Max. «I can’t wait to come back!» said Mia.
