A Day at the Beach – День на пляже
It is a warm and sunny day. Maria and her family are going to the beach. They get in the car and drive to the seaside. Maria is very excited. She loves the beach!
When they arrive, Maria sees the blue sea and the white sand. The sound of the waves is relaxing. She takes off her shoes and feels the soft sand under her feet. It’s warm and nice.
Maria’s little brother, Jack, runs to the water. He wants to swim, but Maria tells him to wait. First, they need to put on sunscreen. They don't want to get sunburned. Maria’s mom helps them put on sunscreen. They all wear hats and sunglasses.
After the sunscreen is on, they go to the water. The waves are not too big, and Maria feels safe. Jack laughs and splashes in the water. Maria enjoys the cool water, but she stays close to her family.
Later, they sit on a towel and have a picnic. They eat sandwiches, fruits, and drink cold lemonade. It’s delicious! After lunch, Maria and Jack play in the sand. They build a big sandcastle. They use a bucket and a shovel.
The sun is high in the sky, and it gets very hot. Maria’s mom says it’s time to go home. They pack their things and walk back to the car. Maria feels happy and relaxed. It was a perfect day at the beach.

Sarah tells Emma that she has two children, a boy and a girl. They are the same age as Emma. The boy’s name is Ben, and the girl’s name is Lily. Emma is excited. She loves making new friends.
Sarah invites Emma to come inside their house. Emma walks over and follows Sarah into the house. It is big and bright. Emma likes it. She sees Ben and Lily playing with toys in the living room. They all introduce themselves and start talking. Emma feels happy because she has new friends.
Sarah says, “Would you like to play with Ben and Lily tomorrow?” Emma smiles and says, “Yes, I would love to!” She feels excited to spend time with her new neighbors.
At the end of the day, Emma goes back home. She tells her parents about the new neighbors. They are happy that Emma made new friends. Emma is looking forward to tomorrow. It’s going to be a fun day!

At lunchtime, Lily and her family sit on a bench and eat sandwiches. They talk about their favorite animals. Lily’s favorite animal is the giraffe. She loves how tall and gentle they are. After lunch, they go to the aquarium. Lily loves the fish. The colorful fish swim around in the water, and the sea turtles slowly move along the bottom of the tank. It is beautiful.
Before they leave, Lily and her family stop at the gift shop. Lily buys a small stuffed lion as a souvenir. “This is my new friend!” she says, hugging the toy. They all leave the zoo and drive home. Lily feels happy and tired after the fun day. It was a great visit to the zoo!

After a few minutes, the nurse calls Lucy’s name. “Lucy, it’s your turn,” the nurse says kindly. Lucy gets up, and her mom follows her. The nurse leads them into a small room and asks Lucy to sit on the table. “Please take off your jacket,” the nurse says. Lucy does as she is told.
The doctor enters the room and smiles. “Hello, Lucy! How are you today?” he asks. “I’m fine, thank you,” Lucy replies. The doctor checks her height and weight, listens to her heartbeat with a stethoscope, and checks her eyes and ears. Lucy feels a little nervous, but the doctor is very gentle and kind.
After the check-up, the doctor tells Lucy, “You are very healthy, Lucy! Keep eating healthy food, and don’t forget to exercise.” Lucy smiles. She is happy to hear that she is healthy.
On the way out, Lucy thanks the nurse and doctor. “Thank you for helping me,” she says. “You’re welcome!” they both reply.
Lucy and her mom leave the doctor’s office. Lucy feels relieved. She was a little nervous, but everything went well. Now, it’s time to go to the park, just like her mom promised.
