Inadequate self-esteem — most often set by wrong upbringing or the attitude of others, which can undermine a person’s faith in himself (type “Nothing” — “I will never succeed”) or, conversely, put him above others (type “Pride” — “I am always right, I am perfect”). In both cases, a person forms a distorted perception of himself and the reactions of the world around him, which corresponds to the blocking of the second main component of consciousness — spirituality.

Closedness to cognition — corresponds to a person’s inability or unwillingness to think about what can change his inner world (perceptions, qualities, etc.), even if these perceptions and qualities make him suffer, degrade and deprive him of what he wants. This is most often based on dogmatism (it should be only this way) and a motivation system that blames people and the world for “imperfection” (inconsistency with perceptions), which blocks the last component of consciousness — intellect.

If a person lacks at least one of these qualities, he has a chance to become on the path of development. As a rule, this happens with the help of Karma, its influences on the unblocked part of consciousness: being put in a situation of survival (activation of the will, e.g. P. Bregg), entering a dead end of development (activation of spirituality, re-evaluation of oneself and one’s life), encountering the unknowable (activation of the intellect). The simultaneous presence of all these qualities in a person almost completely deprives him/her of the possibility of development in a given life.

2. Esoteric thinking

The first thing that must be done to gain the ability to change oneself and one’s life is to recognize that states of weakness, poverty and lack of happiness are not normal for a person, that he or she suffers where he or she is deluded or does not have the appropriate strength to cope with this or that problem. The next step is to get rid of habitual thinking, i.e., the purposeful formation of the qualities that determine the capacity for development.

Responsibility is the first main characteristic of esoteric thinking, which extends to all spheres of human life and includes his will (the inner source of energy of transformation and activity) in the maximum possible mode of operation. Taking responsibility for one’s manifestations and one’s destiny is a turning point in a person’s life; in the subtle world it corresponds to the connection of forces responsible for the realization of goals on Earth.

Dynamic self-esteem is a perception of oneself that maximally activates a person’s aspiration for development and at the same time makes him/her resistant to various assessments of others. The formation of this self-esteem is reduced to the concept of the following universal formula: “I have many shortcomings and merits, but the main thing that gives me confidence is striving for perfection, constant work on myself, getting rid of all the shortcomings and strengthening the merits”.

Openness to cognition — the ability of unbiased perception and understanding of information transforming a person. This, first of all, refers to criticism (its reasonable use allows one to realize already manifested shortcomings and get rid of them) and following the chosen path of development (in many cases, a person must go through trust in the Teacher, despite the fact that his words may contradict conventional wisdom).

It is the most difficult to pass through this first stage of thought restructuring, as one has to overcome a lot of internal obstacles, while the other stages logically follow one from the other with the right approach to training, so it is easier to move to them. Stage two — the passage of the third level of development, involves the purposeful development of personal qualities through meditation and activity. At the next stages a person becomes a skillful “programmer” — with the help of his thoughts-programs he forms an ideal consciousness.

3. Esoteric attitude to life

Life for a person who has taken the path of development ceases to be an obligation and turns into an amazing opportunity to do a lot of interesting things. Firstly, it is self-development, revealing new abilities, secrets of subconsciousness, etc., secondly, correction of one’s karma (atonement of past sins and delusions), formation of future destiny (committing worthy deeds) and many other things.

At the same time, a person learns both to be content with little and to achieve the maximum in all his manifestations: to learn to live, to set and realize worthy goals without fear of losing everything in an instant. One of the key distinctions of a person following this path is the dominance of spiritual values over material ones, when the concept of honor becomes not an empty sound, but one of the cornerstones of his personality.

Honor is a person’s internal demand on himself or herself to abide by a certain code of honor accepted in a particular system. These codes may vary greatly, but most often they are based on two basic rules:

1. The necessity of one’s own impeccable behavior that does not hurt the honor and dignity of others, consideration for one’s neighbors.

2. The need to defend one’s honor and the honor of one’s loved ones, to leave no insult or humiliation unpunished.

However, if for a warrior or an aristocrat the defense of honor can be expressed in the form of a duel, then for an esoteric person it often takes place differently, as he has the opportunity to use the knowledge of the invisible world. That is, a duel can take place, but in the astral world, where magic, patronage of the forces of Light, etc. are at one’s disposal, the main thing is that justice should prevail and evil should not go unpunished.

A person with fully formed thinking is devoid of fear, he believes that if his behavior is flawless, he is under the protection of the Absolute, and if God sends him trials, he is ready to accept them all. Besides, he believes and has an opportunity to practically check the immortality of his soul, to enter the subtle world and communicate with long-gone people, to study the laws of fate by the history of their incarnations and many other things.

4. Basic principles of energy development

Esotericism provides a person with huge opportunities, not yet studied by science, but it is quite difficult to understand independently in the mass of various recommendations, including those on the disclosure of energetic abilities. Therefore, out of all these recommendations we will single out the main ones that determine the effectiveness of human development, the violation of which brings almost all efforts to naught. The same principles allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of esoteric development systems.

Principle 1. The basis of energy development (revealing psychic abilities, learning to control one’s energies and systems, strengthening the body through self-infusion, meditation, etc.) is the accumulation of energy (increasing its volume, improving its quality). Accumulation of energy is a long-term goal, one of the main goals in development, which is realized through purposeful accumulation of energy, preservation of the latter and its rational use.

Principle 2. The set of energy should be regular and complex (for all components of a person). In this case, physical exercises energize mainly the physical body, meditation — mainly the subtle bodies, self-infusion — mainly the chakras (consciousness). A set of energy for only one of the human components can initially give certain results, but then, having exhausted its reserve, blocks further development.

Principle 3. Conservation of energy should be constant throughout the day, which is achieved through the development of self-control and abilities to manage one’s state (in classical yoga this corresponds to Niyama, in religions — life with love in the heart). At the initial stages of development a person practically does not perceive his or her state, while at the subsequent stages it acquires great value (negative state — loss of energy, positive state — its preservation and automatic recruitment).

Principle 4. Rational use of energy implies the ability to invest it (in business, communication, etc.) in such a way that it brings maximum return (achievement of goals, development of relationships). This is achieved by rational organization of life (rhythm, full use of one’s potential, absence of overload) and mastering psychology (with whom and how to communicate so that it brings joy, inflow of positive energies, and not vice versa — their outflow).

So, if you have awakened interest in esoteric knowledge, and you want to practically realize it in yourself, it is desirable to remember the following basic rules:

1. The path of development is not always strewn with roses, to the top reach only a few, the most aspiring, so never despair and do not lose heart — only in this case, any goals will become available.

2. Before you start studying esoteric theory, and even more so before you start practicing it, make sure that you are internally ready for it, i.e. you have taken responsibility for your manifestations and your destiny, you have set a dynamic self-esteem and opened yourself to knowledge, to changing yourself.

Developing in any system is in most cases more effective than moving forward on your own, so from all the available systems choose the one that will give you maximum opportunities or create your own.

ALL O’KEY?!

You can easily check to what extent your knowledge about people and yourself is true. All you have to do is assess how happy you are. If everything works out and you are in a good mood all day long, you can congratulate yourself. If, however, at least sometimes the cats are scratching at your soul and the actual is quite different from the desired, then it is time to think: “Am I doing everything to become a happy person?”.

1. Formula for happiness

Of course, any normal person would like to be happy, and he or she could use such a formula, but “common sense” suggests that it does not exist and cannot be. Indeed, there were many failures on the way of searching for this formula, which testifies, however, only to the incredible complexity of the problem, not to the impossibility of its solution. Therefore, let us try to reason and get the simplest possible answer to a very complex question about happiness.

Let’s start by analyzing where our life goes, i.e. what we spend our time on. We will get the following picture. The main components of life that characterize the destiny of a person are: work (it determines the position in society, welfare and much more), personal life (love, family, children), environment (friendship, respect, mutual help), development (health, all kinds of abilities and our attitude to life), all kinds of expenses that are not of great interest (household, transportation, etc.).

In this case, the main condition for complete happiness can be considered an interesting and well-paid job, a rich, joy-giving personal life, the presence of reliable and loyal friends. But this is not enough. It is also necessary to be able to treat all this very carefully and carefully, so as not to lose anything and not to stay at the “broken trough”. After all, almost all people at least once in their lives experience love, but not many people can keep it.

In his time, the Strugatskys gave an extremely short formula of happiness: “I want — I can”. If we develop it further, then it’s just a matter of answering only two questions for ourselves: 1. “What is it necessary to want — so that it is most suitable for me personally, was available, worthy and would involve the least losses?”. 2. “How can it be achieved, what abilities and capabilities are required to achieve it, and where can it all be learned?”

Thus, the formula for happiness is quite simple — in order to obtain it, it is necessary to be able to choose goals (i.e. to know clearly what we want from work, personal life, environment and from ourselves) and to achieve them in the best possible way. There is only one way to achieve this — obtaining relevant knowledge, self-knowledge, getting rid of shortcomings and prejudices, enhancing virtues and revealing all abilities inherent in a person through purposeful development.
