Afterward, she went to the produce section to pick out some fresh vegetables. "I need some carrots, tomatoes, and a head of lettuce," she said, carefully choosing the best items.

As she moved to the snack aisle, Sarah thought about getting some chips and juice for the weekend. "I’ll take two bags of chips and a bottle of orange juice," she said, adding the items to her cart.

At the checkout, the cashier greeted her with a smile. "Hello, did you find everything you needed today?"

"Yes, thank you," Sarah replied, handing over her shopping bags.

«Your total is 28.50 dollars,» the cashier said. «How would you like to pay?»

"I’ll pay by card," Sarah answered, swiping her card. "Thanks!"

After paying, Sarah grabbed her bags and headed out of the store, ready to go home and start preparing her meals for the week. Shopping at the supermarket was a simple task, but it always felt good to get it done and know she had everything she needed.

At the Bank – В банке

Story:

Anna had been thinking about opening a new savings account for a while. She had been saving money for her upcoming vacation and wanted to make sure her funds were secure. On her lunch break, she decided to go to the bank and get everything sorted.

As she entered the bank, she noticed the familiar sound of the teller's machines and the soft murmur of customers waiting in line. The air-conditioned space was quiet and calm, with a few people standing in line and others seated, waiting for their turn.

A friendly bank employee at the front desk smiled and asked, “Good afternoon! How can I help you today?”

“Hi, I’d like to open a savings account,” Anna replied. “I want to make sure my money is safe and earning interest.”

“Of course! I can help you with that,” the employee said, leading Anna to an available desk. “Please have a seat. I’ll just need to gather a few details from you.”

Anna sat down and waited as the employee pulled up a form. “May I see your ID, please?” the bank employee asked.

Anna handed over her driver’s license, and the employee quickly verified her information. “Now, how much would you like to deposit to start the account?” the employee asked.

«I’d like to deposit 500 dollars to start,» Anna replied.

“Great! I’ll process this for you,” the employee said as they typed into the system. “Now, you’ll receive monthly statements and your savings will earn interest. Would you like to set up online banking as well?”

“Yes, that sounds great,” Anna answered. “I’d like to be able to check my balance online.”

The employee helped Anna set up online banking, and in just a few minutes, everything was ready. “You’re all set! Your account is open, and you’ll receive your bank card in the mail in about a week,” the employee said with a smile.

“Thank you so much!” Anna said, feeling relieved. She stood up, shook the employee's hand, and left the bank with a sense of accomplishment, knowing her money was secure and growing.

On the Street – На улице

Story:

It was a bright and sunny afternoon when Mark decided to take a walk in his neighborhood. The streets were busy, with people walking, cycling, and driving. He enjoyed these little moments of peace, watching life unfold around him.

As he walked down the street, he passed a small park where children were playing. Some were riding their bikes, while others were running after a soccer ball. Mark smiled as he watched them. It was a typical Saturday afternoon in the city.

He continued walking, passing by a café with outdoor seating. A couple of people were sitting at tables, chatting over coffee. The sound of clinking cups and soft conversations filled the air. Mark stopped for a moment to look at the menu hanging outside. "Maybe I’ll stop for a coffee later," he thought.

Up ahead, he noticed a man standing at the corner, holding a sign. Mark couldn’t read it from this distance, but as he got closer, he saw the words "Free Hugs." The man was smiling and waving, and a few people had already stopped to give him a hug. Mark chuckled to himself, thinking it was a nice gesture, but he wasn’t in the mood for a hug at the moment.

As he continued down the street, Mark saw a small shop that caught his eye. It was an antique store with old furniture displayed in the window. He loved looking at unique and vintage items, so he decided to step inside.

The bell above the door jingled as he entered the shop. "Good afternoon!" a voice called out from the back. The owner, a friendly older woman, came forward to greet him. "Is there anything I can help you with today?"

Mark smiled and shook his head. "I’m just looking around. I enjoy browsing old things."

"Feel free to take your time," the woman said. "We get some really interesting pieces in here."

After spending a few minutes inside, Mark decided it was time to keep walking. He thanked the shop owner and stepped back onto the street. As he walked away, he felt the warmth of the sun on his face and the liveliness of the city around him.
