This is another good month for job seekers – there are many, many opportunities. You are in the mood for work (especially after the 23rd) and employers pick up on this. Like last month, even those who are already employed will have opportunities for overtime or to take on second jobs.

Venus in Virgo is good for money – you earn it the old-fashioned way, through work and service – but the transit is not that great for romance. Be careful of destructive criticism and of being too judgemental of the beloved, even in your heart – this will chill any romantic moment. Retrograde activity will be at its maximum extent for the year after the 27th, with 60 per cent of the planets in retrograde motion. Like last month, learn patience, patience, patience. Generally, these retrograde periods are not life threatening, just annoying and frustrating. But understanding what’s going on is a big help in dealing with this.

This retrograde of Mercury (from the 27th to October 18) will be stronger in its effect than the previous ones this year. This is because there are many other planets retrograde with him. If Mercury is retrograde by himself, or with just one or two other planets, that is one thing. But when many planets are retrograde it is much stronger. So be more careful in your communications. Double-check emails before pressing ‘send’. Allow more time to get from one place to another. A customer service call that should take 5 or 10 minutes can go on for hours – and sometimes days pass until the issue is resolved.

The headline this month is love and romance, Aries. Your 7th house of love is the strongest in the Horoscope. It is strong quantitatively as well as qualitatively. So, from the 22nd onwards you will be in a yearly love and social peak. (You will probably feel this even before the 22nd, as Mars moves into your 7th house on the 15th.)

You are more proactive in love this month. You’re seeking it out. Singles are not playing games. If they like someone that person will know. You are forward and direct. Retrograde activity reaches a crescendo this month and then drops off dramatically. The month begins with 60 per cent of the planets retrograde and will end with only 20 per cent retrograde. Stuck projects are getting unstuck. Events in the world and in your life are starting to move forward.

You’re still in a yearly love and social peak this month. You’ve had stronger social peaks in your life, but for this year, this is the peak.

Venus continues to be ‘out of bounds’ for the whole of November. Thus, like last month, your pursuit of profits and love are taking you outside your normal boundaries – your normal sphere of activity. The money people in your life, and perhaps the spouse, partner or current love, are also outside their normal circles. There are no answers there and you (and they) must go searching in new places. Going into the unknown like this often brings great insecurity in love and finance.

A lunar eclipse on the 19th occurs in your money house, further compounding the insecurity in financial matters. Changes need to be made. Your financial thinking and planning haven’t been realistic and you must set a new course. This lunar eclipse is relatively benign for you, but it can bring dramas at home and with family members – especially a parent or parent figure. He or she has personal dramas and crises with his or her friends. Children and children figures are making career changes. Grandchildren (if you have them) or those who play that role in your life have dramas at work – job changes are likely now or in the coming months. This eclipse impacts on Jupiter (but not too directly, it is more like a sideswipe), so it can affect college-level students. There are changes in educational plans, perhaps changes of school or courses of study. There are also dramas in your place of worship and in the lives of worship leaders.

Health, however, looks good this month. By the 7th all the planets will either be in harmonious alignment with you or leaving you alone. Health gets even better from the 22nd onwards.

The fourth and final eclipse of the year happens on the 4th. It is a solar eclipse that occurs in your 9th house. Though you have the urge to travel, try to avoid doing so around the eclipse period. Schedule trips either a few days before or after the eclipse. This eclipse brings more educational changes for college students: perhaps dramas and shake-ups at the university. The spouse, partner or current love should drive more carefully – you too. Since this eclipse affects Mercury, students not yet at college are also impacted. Understanding a Taurus

Taurus is the most earthy of all the Earth signs. If you understand that Earth is more than just a physical element, that it is a psychological attitude as well, you will get a better understanding of the Taurus personality.

A Taurus has all the power of action that an Aries has. But Taurus is not satisfied with action for its own sake. Their actions must be productive, practical and wealth-producing. If Taurus cannot see a practical value in an action they will not bother taking it.

Taurus’s forte lies in their power to make real their own or other people’s ideas. They are generally not very inventive but they can take another’s invention and perfect it, making it more practical and useful. The same is true for all projects. Taurus is not especially keen on starting new projects, but once they get involved they bring things to completion. Taurus carries everything through. They are finishers and will go the distance, so long as no unavoidable calamity intervenes.

Many people find Taurus too stubborn, conservative, fixed and immovable. This is understandable, because Taurus dislikes change – in the environment or in their routine. Ever since Saturn moved into stressful aspect with you in March last year, health and energy became more delicate. Certainly, your energy is not as high as it was in 2018 and 2019. Ever since Saturn moved away from your love planet Pluto last year the love life has been much better. Singles will certainly date more this year and have more social confidence, but marriage or serious commitment is challenging. More on this later.

Uranus has been in your sign since March 2019 (and was for some months in 2018 too). He will be there for the rest of the year ahead and for many more years to come, so many of the trends that we discussed in previous years are still very much in effect.
