Moving to a new apartment and dealing with neighbors
Dialogue 1
A: Hi, I just moved into apartment 3B yesterday.
B: Oh, welcome to the building. How are you settling in?
A: It’s going well, but I still have a lot of boxes to unpack.
B: I understand. Moving is always stressful at the beginning.
A: Yes, and I also need to get used to the noise here.
B: Sometimes it’s quiet, but in the evenings it can get a bit loud.
A: I noticed that yesterday. Are the neighbors usually friendly?
B: Most of them are nice. If you need help, just ask.
A: That’s good to know. I hope I won’t disturb anyone.
B: Don’t worry, everyone understands new neighbors need time.
Dialogue 2
A: Excuse me, I’m your new neighbor from next door.
B: Nice to meet you. Welcome to the building.
A: Thank you. I wanted to check if the walls are thin here.
B: They are not very thick, so sometimes noise travels.
A: I see. I’ll try to keep things quiet, especially at night.
B: That would be great. We all try to respect each other here.
A: Good to know. Also, is there a building chat or group?
B: Yes, we have a messaging group for residents. I can add you.
A: Спасибо.
A: Понятно.
