He looks on the chair. No charger.

He looks under the bed. No charger.

He checks his bag. Still no charger.

Alex feels a little nervous. He has an online class in one hour.

«I need my phone,» he says.

He goes to the kitchen. Maybe he left the charger there last night.

The kitchen is quiet. There is a cup and a plate on the table. Alex looks near the table. Nothing.

He opens a drawer. There are spoons and forks, but no charger.

He opens another drawer. There are some old papers and a small box. Still no charger.

Alex sighs.

Then he remembers something. Last night, he was sitting on the sofa and watching videos.

He goes to the living room.

The sofa is big and soft. There is a blanket on it. Alex looks under the blanket.

No charger.

He checks between the cushions. Nothing.

He looks under the sofa. It is a little dark there. He cannot see well.

Alex takes his phone and turns on the flashlight. The light is weak, but it helps.

He looks again under the sofa.

And there it is.

His charger.

«Oh, there you are!» Alex says and smiles.

He takes the charger and stands up. There is some dust on it, so he cleans it with his hand.

Then he goes back to his room. He plugs the charger into the wall and connects it to his phone.

The screen lights up. The battery is very low, but it is charging now.

Alex sits on the bed and watches his phone for a minute. He feels calm again.

«Good,» he says. «Now I have time.»

He puts the phone on the table and starts to get dressed.

After a few minutes, he comes back and checks the phone. The battery is better now.

He opens his messages. There is a message from his teacher: «Online class at 9:00. Don’t be late.»

Alex smiles. «I will not be late,» he says.

He puts the phone in his bag and looks around the room.

«Tonight, I will put my charger in the right place,» he says.

He takes his bag and leaves the room.

Now everything is ready.
