Represents medicines and medical procedures; gives the energy of recovery and protection from illnesses.
Location: the north.

Connection with Astrology and Ayurveda
Not only various gods influence the places within a house.
In addition to the 45 gods, there is a ruler who watches over each cardinal direction, and there is also the astrological influence of the stars and the signs of the Zodiac on each of the directions.
In the following table, divided into 9 equal parts corresponding to the 45 magnetic fields, buildings are planned according to Vastu.
The table is placed over the building plan in accordance with the directions of the compass, so that all places in the house perfectly correspond to their functions.

Colors of the Planets:
Sun – white.
Saturn – blue.
Mercury – green.
Mars – pink, coral red.
Jupiter – various shades of yellow, cream.
Rahu – various shades of green and brown.
Ketu – gray.
Venus – silver, white.
Moon – white.
Center (ether) – white or very light shades.
If one of the parts of the house is cut off, then problems will arise here corresponding to this place and to the planets responsible for it, as well as to the rulers.
Northeast – clarity of mind.
East–northeast – pastime and pleasure.
East – friendly connections.
East–southeast – restlessness and busyness.
Southeast – fire, money, and liquids.
South–southeast – strength and confidence.
South – relaxation and fame.
South–southwest – expenses, spending, elimination.
Southwest – partnership relationships (marriage) and abilities.
West–southwest – upbringing and saving.
West – calmness and earnings.
West–northwest – depression and cleansing from poisons.
Northwest – support from banks.
North–northwest – attraction and sex.
North – growth and opportunities.
North–northeast – immunity and health.
The Five ElementsIn addition to what we learned in the first section of the book, Vastu Shastra also has five elements that influence the movement of energies between the magnetic fields: water, fire, ether, air, earth.
The energy of each element moves in such a way that each element transfers energy to another element, and as a result, the energies pass through the entire building.
This occurs in the following way:
water → fire → ether → air → earth → and returns to water…

Ayurveda is the Vedic system of medicine that came from Ancient India. The planning and design of buildings influence our health, and each of the elements affects different parts of our body.
That is, if the energies of the elements are negative, blocked, and unharmonious, this leads to problems and illnesses connected with the organs related to those elements.
Water – kidneys and urinary bladder.
Air – liver and gallbladder.
Fire – heart and small intestine.
Earth – stomach and spleen.
Ether – lungs and intestines.
Elements, coloring, shapes, weight, and symmetry
In connection with what was discussed earlier, questions arise:
What should be done to create harmony between the elements? How can one avoid creating energy blockages that lead to various problems?
For example, the fire element is created with the help of the air element; the water and ether elements spoil the fire element; and the fire element creates the earth element.
If there is no balance in the process of creating the fire element, or any other element, there will be a lack of harmony and balance in the building.
For example, the fire element is created with the help of the air element; the water and ether elements destroy the fire element; and the fire element creates the earth element.
Therefore, if the flow of energies from the water element toward the fire element is blocked, a lack of harmony in the building will be created.
It is important to know that each element has a color and a shape that influence the movement of energies from place to place.
If a certain color and shape are used in the wrong location, the energies will become blocked and will begin to act negatively, creating various problems for a person related to that place in the house.
To choose the correct color that matches one’s taste and the specific place, one must first understand the meaning of each color.
Color meaningsRed – inspiration, understanding, motivation, action, vigor, love, passion, energy, sales, hunger, anger. Too much red can lead to stress.
Black – contemplation, cleverness, depth of thought, wealth, strength, mystery, elegance, power, maturity. It is not recommended to use too much black in order not to create a “heavy” appearance and not to attract negative energies.
White – calmness, balance, harmony, cheerfulness, clarity, naivety, purity, and simplicity. White balances the energies of other colors.
Orange – health, attraction, uniqueness, thirst, wealth, childlike qualities, happiness, and food. Should be used in moderation.
Yellow – support, joy, childlike qualities, cheerfulness, warmth, energy, optimism, renewal, and money. Should be used in moderation.
Green – calmness, naturalness, envy, balance, rest, creativity, renewal. This color soothes and removes restlessness.
Brown – joy, happiness, diligence, hard work, trust, protection, concentration, care. This color brings joy and happiness.
It is recommended to use wooden furniture or furniture with wooden covering for good distribution of beneficial energies.
Thus, it is recommended to use less heavy metal furniture, as it cannot retain beneficial energies.
Blue – trust, cleverness, calm, naturalness, stability, strength, and communication. Excessive use of blue gives a cold appearance.
Purple – wealth, mystery, arrogance, prestige, childlike qualities, creativity, sadness, psychology, studying, prayer, and work. Better to use this color in moderation, without overusing it.
Pink – softness, emotion, tenderness, sensitivity, affection, love, and passion. Pink adds beneficial energy to a room.
Beige – a mixture of brown and white gives calmness, peace, simplicity, elegance, clarity, warmth, softness, happiness, and harmony. It is considered the most auspicious color in Vastu Shastra.
Its use in the correct places will lead to constant balance.
Gray – this color represents spirituality, intelligence, mind, maturity, old age, indecision, practicality, sadness, modernism, lack of sensitivity.
It is a neutral color; therefore, it is not recommended to use it excessively in different areas of the home. It is preferable to combine it with other colors that are more lively and joyful to create a pleasant and non-gloomy appearance.
Turquoise – a combination of blue and green. It unites the qualities of both: freshness, femininity, creativity, calm, inner balance, spirituality, friendliness, love, loyalty, peace, and luck.
A wonderful color that carries much beneficial energy when used.
It is no coincidence that in different cultures turquoise was used for windows and doors as protection from the evil eye.
According to Vastu, pastel and neutral tones are the most recommended of all colors.
But this does not mean that a house (or any other building) must be entirely in light or white tones. Colors can always be combined, and it is desirable to combine them according to personal taste and the principles of Vastu Shastra.
Gold – an expensive metal symbolizing wealth, luxury, prosperity, and brilliance. The characteristics of the color include qualities of brown and yellow. From brown, gold takes happiness; from yellow, it takes wealth.
Gold is a warm color that can be cheerful and bright or dark and traditional.
It is important to clarify that combining gold with other colors will not look cheap.
The use of gold enhances the mind. Additionally, it gives an intelligent appearance, image, and health; it creates success and prosperity; it shows the path to success.
Silver – a metal that demonstrates wealth in a refined manner. On one hand, it has cold properties (like gray), and on the other hand, it is more lively and pleasant.
Meaning of the color: modernity, production, decoration, shine, grace, elegance, intellect, unconditional love, hope, kindness, meditation, mysticism, generosity, sensitivity, and soulfulness.
The main property of silver is that it removes negative energies where it is placed and brings positive ones.
Rose gold – the color signifies: luxury, wealth, style, happiness, elegance, wellbeing, insight, love, and romance. Luxury comes from the gold element, and love comes from the pink.
Using this color (rose gold) fills the atmosphere with calmness and softens the soul, removing anger.
It is good to use this color together with various pastel and nude tones.

In the south–southwest, southwest, avoid wavy and square.
In the west–southwest, west, west–northwest, northwest, north–northwest, avoid square and triangle.
WeightIn order to place furniture and objects in the correct locations, it is necessary to know where the positive sectors in the house are and where the negative ones are.
Positive sectors: north, east, and northeast.
Neutral sectors: northwest and southeast.
Negative sectors: south, west, and southwest.
We leave the positive sectors less filled, placing fewer items there, and in the negative sectors – more items, in order to preserve lightness in the positive sectors and add heaviness to the negative ones.
Rooms in the north and east should be larger (in a proportion of 1:2) than the rooms in the south and west.
Light furniture should be placed in the positive sectors, and heavy furniture – in the negative ones.
SymmetrySymmetry is one of the main principles of Vastu Shastra.
Behind it stand ancient calculations.
Design that uses symmetry not only pleases the eye but also creates harmony in any space.
The principle of symmetry can also be used in the exterior of the building (outer walls), as well as in the arrangement of various pieces of furniture inside the house.
Choosing the Ideal Plot for Construction
Magnetic fields and their influenceOn every piece of land and in any location, different magnetic fields pass through, carrying different energies.
They may be at various distances from different buildings, which has been scientifically proven.
Construction sites in rectangular and quadrilateral shapes are ideal because they contain different kinds of multiple energies.
Other shapes are not recommended.
Inside a house, the energies of the magnetic fields move, and at times we feel them, and at times we do not.
When we are in a building and feel comfortable or uncomfortable without any apparent reason, it is a sign that the placement of the house is harmonious or non-harmonious (according to Vastu Shastra).
Shapes of plots for construction, directions, and the placement of windows and doors
The shapes of plots, the directions, and the locations of windows and doors have different influences.
For example, windows and doors in different directions bring different energies into the house.
DirectionsA plot facing northeast, meaning the entrance to the plot is directed toward the northeast, is suitable for houses, factories, and offices.
A plot facing northwest is suitable for shopping centers, industry, and business.
A plot facing southeast is suitable for chemical and electrical industries.
A plot facing southwest may be useful for people who work at night.
Quality of the land
High-quality land is suitable for agriculture.
The ideal land for use is soil of yellowish color.
Land with a large amount of stones, worms, and thorny trees is not promising.
Black soil is not very suitable for construction, and the same applies to land with crushed stones.
Trash found in the soil at the beginning of construction has significance (according to Vastu Shastra).
Meaning of materials found on the plotStone – abundance of wealth.
Bricks – all types of wealth and future acquisitions.
Copper and metals – abundance in life.
Coal – illness and loss of health and wealth.
Animal bones – hinders development.
Scorpions, snakes – problems with construction progress.
Ants, termites – harm wealth and shorten life.
Straw or eggs – loss of life, meaningless expenses.
Cotton – troubles.
Pieces of wood – very negative land, one must leave such a place.
Skull – constant scandals and legal disputes.
Cow horns – abundant wealth and property.
Gold or silver coins – wealth and luxury.
Yellow copper – wealth and convenience.
Torn carpets, clothing – quarrels and arguments.
Metal pipes – loss of life.
Shapes and additional things to consider when purchasing landPlots in the shape of a triangle, diamond, or L-shape are not promising, because different energies cannot flow freely.
Therefore, they should not be purchased.
Land with cut-off corners or shaped like a body without a head is also not recommended.
Extensions in the southwest are not good places; they may lead to financial loss and danger to life.
Extensions in the northeast bring wealth, happiness, and fame.
An extension in the northwest from the west side is considered favorable for women and politicians.
An extension in the northwest from the north side is not favorable for women; it brings suffering, mental problems, and major business losses.
An extension in the southeast from the east side brings losses and problems with the government.
An extension in the southeast from the south side brings health issues, lawsuits, and decreased income.
Additional considerationsIt is not recommended to purchase a plot whose center has irregularities – depressions and elevations relative to other directions.
It is better to choose a plot where the northeast or east is lower than the southwest or west. If this principle is followed, there will be a natural flow of light, positive solar energy, and polar energy. This will bring happiness, good children, and success to all residents of the home (according to Vastu).
In the center of the plot or land, there must not be sewage systems, drain pipes, underground water sources, or heavy objects.
If a constructed house or building occupies the central part of the plot, it is very important to determine whether any of these listed things are located in the center (in the house or in the ground under the house). It is better not to make such a purchase.
Plots with blocked space (tall buildings, mountains, tall trees blocking the sun) in the north, northeast, or east are not recommended at all.
Despite this, it is beneficial to block sunlight coming from the west and south so that the house will have happiness, health, and wealth, and so that the light does not escape into directions that carry negativity (west and south).
It is not advisable to purchase land with a power station or large electric poles in the northeast.
If purchasing property near a hospital, holy place, factory, or other public locations, one must stay at least 80 meters away, so that their shadow does not fall on the acquired building and land.
It is better not to purchase property that was sold due to debt or belonged to people with severe life problems.
Also, property located near places where meat is butchered and sold, near a shoe shop, laundry, or workshop is not recommended for purchase.
Plot Shapes and Their MeaningA square is considered an ideal plot.
A rectangle is also considered an ideal plot.
A circle – a plot in the shape of a circle is good only on the condition that the building constructed on it is also circular.
A hexagon – a plot in the shape of a hexagon can bring financial losses and poverty.
However, if other principles of Vastu Shastra are preserved, a hexagonal plot will help the development of various processes in the family.
Shapes with non-straight angles and amorphous forms bring different kinds of problems.
A triangle – a triangular plot may lead to various problems, including problems with the government.
Bhadarshan – not a good shape for residence; only government institutions may be built on such a plot.

A shopping cart shape – a square connected with a rectangle in the center on one side.
This is not a good plot, bringing poverty, crime, and imprisonment.
Such a plot may cause a person to “run like a shopping cart” and constantly want to acquire things.
A very long rectangle (proportions greater than 2:1) – such a plot is absolutely unsuitable for raising cows.
A butterfly – such a plot may negatively influence the eyesight and judgment of the people living on it.
A trapezoid – this plot harms personal relationships and brings a married couple to court; it leads the couple to poverty and negatively affects health.
A drum shape and a rectangle with cut corners – such a plot will lead to the loss of the wife and the women in the family.
An L-shape plot – this type of plot leads to losses.
It can be divided into two parts to create two separate rectangular plots.
A triangle with cut corners – this plot leads to the death of brothers and relatives.
A turtle shape, that is, a cut triangle together with a square – brings murder, imprisonment, and death.
A rectangle with two cut corners (like a window) – such a plot leads to loss of peace of mind and poverty, as well as loss of friends and the appearance of hatred.
A half-circle and two connected triangles – such a plot leads to fear of thieves and criminals, and the person experiences attacks.

An ellipse – loss of women, money, and respect.
A polygon – from such a plot one must extract a quadrilateral for purchase.
