Like Billie, every successful person needs a strong team around them, whether that’s family, friends, fellow students, business partners or colleagues. We all need people we can trust. In fact, having friends and positive people around us that we can rely on has been scientifically proven to help extend life expectancy. A Harvard study stated that ‘people who are more socially connected to family, friends, and community are happier, healthier, and live longer than people who are less well connected.’ One of Billie’s closest confidantes is Zoe Donahoe and the two have been besties since they were toddlers. Zoe watched Billie’s first-ever gig, an open-mic night at a local wine bar, shortly after ‘ocean eyes’ gained traction. Now, Zoe still flies out occasionally to join Billie on tour to keep her company and keep her happy. The Harvard study went on to say that being in a secure relationship even helps people’s memories stay sharper for longer. Looks like your BFF can do a lot more than just take the perfect Instagram picture of you two on a night out!
