Impossible is Nothing
Doesn’t it seem strange to you that so many people in the world are unsatisfied with their looks? They always criticize themselves. Some are obsessed with food, others are poisoning themselves with cigarettes, drugs, alcohol. There are those who undergo painful and dangerous plastic surgeries. All this only testifies lack of love for oneself. People don’t accept themselves. Don’t you ever let your fears and doubts take over you, my love!
There’s always genius within each of us.
Treat yourself to something extra special every now and then. Make yourself happy. Enjoy life. Be grateful for every single day, you every little success.
It’s as easy as that.
Always say, “I did so well today,” (and mention all that you’ve done during the day), or praise yourself, saying things like, “I’m a wonderful person,” or, “I love myself more and more every day,” or, “The world around me is safe and beautiful,” or, “My life is full of love and happiness.”
Choose one day of the week when you do everything that makes you feel the most wonderful and successful person. Spend it just as you wish! Feel the love! Feel absolutely happy! Take a walk in a park, for instance, or watch your favorite movie. It doesn’t matter exactly what you do, but it has to be a day totally devoted to yourself. Make a point of telling yourself how awesome and special you are. Wake up with a feeling that you are loved. Open your eyes and say to yourself, “I love you! You are the best.” Memorize this feeling of love.
Now, say these simple phrases to yourself and repeat daily:
I’m special.
I love myself.
I’m beautiful.
I’m wonderful.
I’m perfect.
I have got all it takes to achieve my goals.
I possess the power of love and kindness.
I’m talented.
I appreciate myself.
I’m gifted.
I’m a genius.
I live right here and now.
I’m the best version of myself, no matter what anyone says.
I let myself be the person I am.
Our bodies are like temples of inner strength. It’s extremely important to keep them healthy. And LOVING YOUR BODY is key!
I ask you to treat your body with love:
1. Follow a comfortable waking and sleeping schedule.
2. Love your own body.
3. Take good care of it. It is your source of pleasure and happiness.
4. Develop the following good habits:
– spend time outdoors just breathing fresh air, enjoying the beauty of nature;
– love yourself and others sincerely, don’t criticize or judge anyone;
– don’t evaluate everything that happens around you, just watch;
– do physical exercise, it’s good for you, especially swimming;
– drink enough pure water;
– eat healthy food;
– set goals for the upcoming week, month, year, and, most importantly, your whole life;
– take care of the environment around you;
– keep a diary;
– smile and laugh as often as you can;
– always say “yes” to yourself!
5. Remember that your body is a gift that is going to serve you all your long and happy life.
It was a long journey, and it’s getting dark now. Lavender fields deserve to be announced the Eighth Wonder of The World, seeing them at least once in your life is a must! The colors are changing from purple to dark pink in the rays of setting sun. I suppose, you’re hungry! We’ll stop by a cozy nice place for dinner in the nearby village. Banon cheese, fresh bread and the delicious ratatouille will make a splendid dinner.
As we wait for our food, let me say a few words about it. Please, always try to choose healthy food, avoid excessive sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors. They harm your body. Curiously enough, we’re trapped by our own poor food habits as we love to eat junk food.
I am an accountant by profession. It means I know a lot about commerce. Business doesn’t necessarily care about the benefit of mankind, trust me, honey. A huge profit comes from selling us junk food. Should I still buy you a soda or the snacks you ask for, even if I know they’re bad for you? Should I thus harm the person I love? Does it make sense to you?
So don’t be trapped by your poor food habits and impulses. Don’t help those who earn money selling junk food. Please, make sure to eat more fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Take care of yourself, because nobody can do it better than you! Read all the nutrition facts carefully while grocery shopping, your meals are your own responsibility! You’re old enough to manage this and take care of your health!
Tell yourself now and repeat every day:
I’m absolutely healthy.
My body makes me happy.
I eat healthy food.
I take care of my health and it makes me feel good.
I love my body and the way I look.
I love the way I am.
My body is perfect.
My body is my best friend.
Every cell of my body is healthy.
I love the person I am and encourage myself in every way I can.
Your body is your best friend for life, no doubt. Accept the way you are and the way you look. Every cell of your body belongs to you, it is all yours! You had chosen this body before you were born, respect this choice. Your self-confidence is your way to success!
One day you’ll see that you’re the best, and you don’t have to impress anyone else. You don’t have to be liked by everyone, but you do have to be loved by yourself here and now, this very moment, with all your weaknesses and merits, all your ups and downs. You’ve got all you need because you’ve got yourself! And yes, you ARE the best.
Never complain about lack of time -you’ve got plenty of it! It’s a matter of setting your priorities. Always make time to praise, learn and accept yourself.
Love starts with you. Don’t associate yourself with just a body, you’re more than just flesh and bones. You are the creator. You create your own life and your reality every single day. Only you have the power to do it.
Only you know how special you are, mind that. You possess enormous potential you might have never felt before. Loving yourself is a sort of a miracle. Let this miracle happen to you first. Accept yourself as part of this love, and let it fill your soul. You’re in front of a door to your genius and talents. And love is the key!
Make this first step. I’d like to help you, if you let me. Don’t stop loving yourself, no matter what. Always praise yourself. Don’t criticize, humiliate, curse, judge and mistreat yourself. Every new day brings opportunities to love and accept yourself more. Think of the world you live in only as of a world of happiness and joy. That’s a way to your destiny!
Don’t let anyone influence your self-esteem. Encourage yourself despite what people say. You’re never alone because you’ve got YOURSELF and a great world inside you. You possess virtue and vice just like everyone else! So it’s no use considering what people say about you since no one is flawless.
Your sense of humor is a powerful weapon against all critics. Jokes and laughter help getting rid of any insult. It’s good for your health, too. Learn to keep your spirits high, to smile even when someone makes jokes about you. Because you are so much more than just a body.
Love yourself despite all your flaws! We all make mistakes. It’s the way we learn. Learning requires a lot of time and attention. Don’t judge yourself if you fail as it’s part of your life experience. Life is impossible without failures and mistakes.
This wonderful day is over. The next amazing location and new exciting discoveries await us tomorrow. Exploring the world we discover ourselves.
The first step towards your dreams is LOVE FOR YOURSELF!
Love is the energy that cures!
Love is the most precious thing in life!
YOU are love in itself!
It’s OK if you stumble and fall making your first step. Get up, shake the dust off your knees, think what you could have done differently and try again. Keep trying until you succeed.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step!
Chapter 2
The Power of Your Mind
“Don’t be afraid of your God – be afraid of yourself.
You are the creator of your own troubles and joy.
Heaven and hell are in your own soul.”
Sylvain MarechalOne of the top secrets of your life is that YOU can rule your own life and your body with THE POWER OF YOUR MIND.
What is a thought? Many people still search for answers to this intricate question. Some consider a thought to be an act of mind. Others suppose it’s a sensory image produced by one’s mind. Also, a thought is something expressed by a sound, a phrase or a pronounced message.
Let’s consider a thought as something in your mind at this very moment.
“Thinking means nothing but talking and listening to oneself.”
E. KantYou might have wondered what exactly rules this world pulling the invisible strings of millions of human lives.
Our minds do that. I know it probably sounds weird to you. Thought is incipient action. Our mind makes us act the way we think, say what’s on our minds. Our minds are enormously powerful.
If you desire to become a success, then you need to start with the basis. And that is your own mind.
Our journey continues in a very cozy place named Foros. It is buried in abundant verdure of exotic plants. Picturesque ponds are interconnected by numerous little waterfalls. The local air, water and nature are salubrious. It’s the best place for any start, and it’s perfect for studying the process of generating thoughts.
Let’s try to feel as one with this breathtaking scenery. Look, there is Fedor Shalyapin’s favorite arbor! Let’s take a seat inside and relax a bit, admiring the amazing view. Now, listen and try to understand all the new information I’ve got for you.
How many thoughts are there in your head? There’s a whole lot, isn’t there? The millions of images your life consists of have been created in your mind. Each small thought matters, to say nothing of the whole rows of thoughts! 65 thoughts are born in your mind every second: they are little fragments of thoughts and the deep, profound ones.
Every thought possesses great power, despite its size. It imprints on your subconscious mind. With the help of all these imprints your mind creates your own reality.
Let us call our thoughts seeds, soon you’ll see why. Take a look around. What do you see? Almost two hundred kinds of exotic plants grow here: palms, fir-trees, magnolias among them. There’s also a forest further up, which had appeared long before this park did. Most of these plants sprung from small seeds. Seeds absorb water and begin to swell as they get into soil. This uptake nourishes the bud and it sprouts. The amount of water required for this process differs from one plant to another. For example, magnolia seeds need more water than gerbera seeds do. Just imagine millions of plants sprout from just one little seed! Flowers, vegetables, fruit and gigantic trees grow the same way.
Thoughts are just like seeds planted in a bed of rich soil of your mind.
Once in your mind, the seeds start to feed on your energy, which is like water for plants. It enables even a tiny thought to sprout and flourish, and one day turn it into a big tree.
Plants grow everywhere: in forests, in fields, in hot deserts, on top of mountains, even in the Arctic! And despite their quantity, every one of them remains unique.
We’re surrounded by gorgeous azaleas and magnolias, marvelous roses, fragrant fir-trees and pine-trees.
They are all different: beautiful and unattractive, poisonous and harmless, strong and weak. There are also plants that grow where nothing seems to be able to survive.
And every plant has its own time to bloom. Tulips choose early spring and mums prefer autumn which keeps the garden beautifully blooming and delightfully fragrant almost all year round.
Lovely flowers and sharp thorns, dangerous predator plants and the exquisite Japanese cherry trees grow from tiny little seeds. Your thoughts are just like these seeds. And someday they will all become your harvest eventually.
Some seeds grow into beautiful flowers, others become dangerous-looking thorns. As you sow so shall you reap.
Poor harvest follows every time you plant bad, evil seeds of thought. But if you sow thoughts of joy, goodwill and happiness, you reap a glorious harvest!
Every seed requires time to grow. So, if you enjoy your life now, acting or thinking bad, that doesn’t mean it’s going to last long. It always takes time for any seed to sprout and flourish. It takes more than one day for flowers to bloom or for tomatoes to turn ripe. Everything happens in due time
You’ll see your plants flourish in a while. And they will totally correspond to the seeds you’ve sowed. If you sow anger, envy, violence, then get ready to reap them.
It becomes obvious and simple once you get the idea of seeds and plants, doesn’t it?
The power of intention and thought can be seen easily if we turn to history. Those who had sowed seeds of destruction, were always at war struggling for power and wealth, making innocent people suffer. Chaos and wars were their harvest. There were also outstanding social figures, who gave people hope, faith and love, like Jesus and Buddha. You can find plenty of information on this topic if you search for it.
When your mind works correctly, when the thoughts deposited in your mind are constructive and peaceful, then they will bring harmony, kindness and wisdom. If one plants melons, one gets melons.
Your thoughts brought you into your present conditions. Good news is that your today’s thoughts and decisions determine your future!
You control 100% of your thoughts and all your decision making. So if you want to make a change in your life and make your dreams come true, you must change the way you think today, starting right now.
It’s fantastic, isn’t it?
Let’s go down to the ponds, listen to the whispering of the waterfalls and enjoy the birds singing among the trees. You know, while pondering over the power of thoughts, I remembered the most important moments of my life. I used to judge people all the time. See the gardener cutting the bushes? Do you think he is happy? I think he is. Because he’s doing something he loves. He loves plants, likes taking care of them: cutting, watering, fertilizing. The gardener literally feels his plants taking care of them just like his own children.
Just look at him, look at all the beautiful trees and flowers surrounding him! He also deserves credit for their beauty as he has put his thoughts into them! Those were thoughts of love, care, kindness and happiness. And now these delightful flowers bring so much joy to us. This place is perfect, isn’t it?
Some people are happy and some are not, some love themselves, their businesses, their lives, and some don’t. I used to call those who didn’t enjoy themselves “loosers”, and there were also “the rich”, “the healthy”, “the sick” and so on. There were few people I approved of. Then I thought of the difference between the lives of all those people and my own life.
It took me a long time to realize that my whole life depended on my attitude towards it. All my experiences, events, conditions and acts are produced by my mind in reaction to my own thoughts.
Imagine that you have many friends, and you all enjoy riding bicycles and hanging out together. You all make fun of a boy next door, whose bike looks unhip. You keep picking on him because you think he’s not as cool as you are. But it’s only your point of view! Why would anyone decide he could judge a person just for being different? He is special in so many ways, just like you are! After all, your bikes can also seem unhip to someone else.
Our thoughts are what make us so special. Thoughts are transformed into decisions followed by actions. That’s the way it works. Each of us is one of a kind!
You are singularly responsible for your life, your health, your success at school and in future career, your relationship with family and friends, my dear. It all depends on you! I’m just trying to help you to find your way and your destiny, to discover your talents.
All your experiences and the conditions you are in, good and bad ones, have been produced by your own mind in reaction to your thoughts. You may say that not everything depends on you because you’ve got parents, society, religion, conditions of life you can’t change. But I don’t want you to feel a victim of any circumstances you can’t influence. Because your mind is so much more powerful than you know. I want you to focus on the power you hold.
If you dislike something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. Your behavior is nothing but the cause and the consequence of your thoughts.
Remember, your thought is like a sunflower seed which becomes a flower bearing hundreds of seeds. One seed produces hundreds!
Your thoughts determine your life.
Starting today, ask yourself the following questions every evening. Write them down in your diary or notepad to have them at hand anytime:
What was my day like? Was there anything I could improve?
What thoughts of mine could cause this?
What can I do now to change the result I’m not happy with?
What is my life going to be like in 2,5,10,30,50 years?
Did I hurt anyone today? Did I make anyone happy?
Did I help anyone today?
What was my self-esteem like today?
Did I do anything good for myself today?
What makes me special?
Would I want to have a friend like myself?
Do I make decisions independently?
What thoughts have crossed my mind today?
Do I approve of myself?
Take your time to think over and write down the answers. Nothing compares to work on self-improvement. It’s so essential that you take charge of your thoughts!
Your thoughts and words possess great power. Mind what you think and say.
We do learn to write and speak correctly at school, it is a part of compulsory curriculum, but that’s not what I mean. Unfortunately, there’s no such class as “The Power of Thoughts and Words”. What could it be about? It could help you to master your mighty mind.
Everything you say represents your thoughts, even if it’s just a small phrase.
Take a look at the greenery around us: it’s endless! Let’s walk along the picturesque ivy-wreathed archway. Ivy clings to the walls, fences and trunks of trees using its strong creeping roots. This plant is known to struggle for its own life so hard that it can destroy the weaker plants around it. It won’t give up. There’s no such notion as self-destruction for an ivy. It’s all different when it comes to people! We destroy ourselves in so many ways! Destructive thoughts, words, deeds lead to pain, desperation, envy, hatred and even illnesses! People prefer to think, see and hear only what they prefer.
My dear child, listen carefully to everything you say. Say only good words talking only about good things. This way your life is sure to be filled only with happy events. Your words express your attitude towards life, the world you live in and people around you. But they can also tell a lot about yourself! Think before you say something. Learn to use the power of words wisely.
If you’ve got a little time before going to bed, then I recommend you devote it to your thoughts. You can change your whole life in just one night.
Adopt the new way of thinking about your future achievements.
Tune your mind in to success.
Pay no attention to what people say about it. Let them think what they like, set yourself free of any expectations. It would be wonderful to show them how powerful every mind is, by setting your own example. Use positive thinking and demonstrate your positive attitude!
Failures and mistakes exist only in your mind. So change it! Always try to find new opportunities dealing with every obstacle. That’s how you learn and gain positive life experience.
You can’t become healthy believing you’re sick. You need to start thinking “healthy” thoughts, then you are sure to get well easily and quickly.
What could possibly give more power to your thoughts? Your emotions! I suppose you’ve seen people act when led by emotions: dying of shame, flushing with anger, miserable in grief or beaming with happiness and love.
Positive thoughts and emotions produce great results. Your thoughts have to correspond to your words and deeds in order to make your seeds of thought grow into big, strong trees. You need to put all your positive emotions in thinking about your goal. Imagine what it would be like if all your dreams came true.
If you are sick, sow a seed of health and picture yourself in ten years absolutely healthy, riding a bike with your friends, for instance. Try to evoke all the happy emotions you can associate getting well with: laugh, rejoice, squeal with excitement! Try to feel healthy and happy about it.
Sow a seed of friendship and love, if you had a fight with someone you care about. Imagine yourself hugging your friend or someone you love. Feel all the love you have got towards this person!
That’s how it works!
I hope now you’ll try to think of only good things like health, happiness, support, comfort, help, friendship and love, won’t you?
But what are you going to do with all the negative thoughts? Seems like it’s impossible to cast them away, they always come back. I want to give you some advice on dealing with them.
Advice #1. Do only good things
Think of all the good stuff you can do for other people, for animals, for nature and the whole world around you. A whole lot of them! You can start with something small as every small thing matters, remember.
Try to think positive and do something good every single day, it’s not that hard. You only gain by making someone’s life happier. Even a kind word makes so much difference! You do remember the great power of words, don’t you? Start with your family. Do you hug them a lot? Do you take good care of them or thank them for taking care of you? Do you ever smile to them and say how much you love them? Do it! Make a cup of tea for your mom, smile to a crying child, call your friend and ask how he’s doing. Helping others is so easy!
People hurt others because they feel unhappy. They often lack love and joy. Life is already full of tough moments and hardships, why complicate it? Be the light that leads the way and gives comfort.
Don’t be demanding, don’t expect anything from anyone. Be ready to be the first one to share, to help. This way you become much happier, within and without.
Once upon a time an old sage revealed one of the main laws of life to his son.
“There’s a struggle going on within every person which is similar to two wolves fighting,” said the old man, “The first wolf represents evil: jealousy, regret, egotism, ambitions, lies, hatred, anger, fear, irritation, laziness. The second wolf stands for peace, love, hope, truth, faith, joy, friendship, happiness, sincerity.”
His little son was deeply moved by his father’s words.
“Which wolf wins in the end?” the boy asked.
The old man smiled and said, “It’s always the one you feed.”
You need to form your own attitude towards everything around you. Which wolf are you going to feed? What seeds are you going to sow and then reap later on?
Advice #2. Don’t harm yourself
All your evil thoughts and deeds harm you more than anyone else, remember!
They leave deep imprints on your mind. They are to blame for all your misfortunes. Thoughts are incipient actions.
You’ll gain control over your own thoughts, if you keep in mind this simple rule. Why would you want to act against yourself?
In case of doubt, take your time, count to three, relax. Then make your decision and act.
