It was the land where steel centaurs and giant rusty mechosaurs led their fights among the rocks, dismantling their damaged foes for screws, and nuts and springs and bolts. They were the creatures of once-living folk that’d turned all plants to ash and smoke to build a massive obelisk from stone, steel and plastic bricks. Its acrid wastes with choking smells had poisoned all the streams and wells.
