A pharma rep, or medical representative, is a fairly young profession, only about thirty years old. All across Russia, forty thousand pharmaceutical company employees work to persuade doctors to prescribe their particular drugs and lay siege to pharmacy fortresses to win orders. Pharma reps are the living link between clinical practice and the pharmaceutical industry. Yet society still hasn't decided whether to curse pharma reps for their work or praise them. Who are these people who cut the line to get into the doctor's office? How do they see the world beyond the clinic walls? What do they dream of, and what are they striving for?
